Husson University has been accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) since 1974, with the most recent comprehensive evaluation taking place in 2013.

As part of the ongoing NECHE accreditation process, Husson has conducted a self-study in advance of the comprehensive evaluation scheduled to take place in 2023.
