The inauguration of Husson University’s seventh president, Lynne Coy-Ogan, will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024. 

Husson University will host a series of campus and community events and celebrations in October, culminating in the inauguration of Lynne Coy-Ogan as the 7th President of Husson University on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 2pm. 

This is an opportunity for the community to come together to reflect, look toward the future and enjoy this important moment in the university’s history.

Welcome from President Coy-Ogan

Lynne Coy-Ogan began her tenure as Husson University’s seventh president and first-ever female president on July 1, 2024. Coy-Ogan, who has served in leadership roles at Husson University since 2005, sat down with Husson magazine in June to talk about her plans and vision for the university.

Q & A WITH PRESIDENT LYNNE COY-OGAN

The Husson University Board of Trustees has unanimously and enthusiastically elected Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Lynne Coy-Ogan as Husson’s next president. Coy-Ogan will assume the role on July 1, 2024, succeeding Robert Clark, who has served as Husson’s president since 2010.

For more than 125 years, Husson University and its predecessors have prepared Bangor-area students for jobs. Since becoming Husson College in 1947, Husson has had only seven presidents, including President Lynne Coy-Ogan, who assumed the role on July 1, 2024.
