- A Message to the Husson Campus Community
As we shared earlier in the week, Tricia Clark, the beloved spouse of Husson University President Robert Clark, passed away as part of an unexpected accident this past Wednesday.
Born on March 11, 1955 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, she was a 1977 graduate of the University of Maine in Orono where she played the organ and majored in music education. Tricia later earned a master’s degree in music from UMaine in 1990. She was a music educator in the Bangor and Sanford School systems for several years and served at various churches as their organist and music director for over 50 years.
While at Husson, she was an active supporter of the University’s athletic teams and the Women’s Philanthropy Council. Behind the scenes, she worked as an unassuming advocate and supporter of the University.
She and President Clark were happily married for 38 years and had two daughters, Sarah Clark Branam and Elizabeth Clark Wilcox; two son-in-laws, Clarence (Clay) and Justin, and three grandchildren, Oliver, Logan and Quinn.
There will be a private remembrance service for Tricia Clark for family members. You are welcome, however, to view the livestream from the Brooking Smith Funeral Home, on Tuesday, November 10 at 11 a.m. Click on this link if you would like to attend this virtual service at that time.
The family asks those wishing to honor her memory, make a donation to the Clark/Waltz Family Endowed Scholarship at Husson University, in lieu of flowers. Expressions of condolence can be sent to the attention of Kandi Hale, President Clark’s executive administrative assistant. She will make sure they reach the president and his family.
Sincerely,
Lynne Coy-Ogan, EdD
Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost
