- Pre-Pharmacy Course Requirements
The following coursework includes the minimum requirements to fulfill the course prerequisites for the Doctor of Pharmacy program in the Husson School of Pharmacy. Note: Biology, Chemistry and Math courses taken more than five (5) years ago are not routinely accepted for meeting pre-pharmacy requirements and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Course Requirements
- General Biology I & II w/Labs – 8 credits
- General Chemistry I & II w/Labs – 8 credits
- Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II w/Labs – 8 credits
- Organic Chemistry I & II w/Labs – 8 credits
- Calculus I – 4 credits
- Statistics – 3 credits
- Rhetoric & Composition – 6 credits
- Speech – 3 credits
- General Education Electives – 12 credits
Total Credits = 60
Pre-Pharmacy students entering as freshmen at Husson are automatically enrolled into the Pre-Pharmacy track of the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree program. This Pre-Pharmacy track ensures a smooth transition of qualified Husson students from the pre-professional to the professional stage of studies in the Husson University School of Pharmacy.
