Hands-On Experience and Strong Work Ethic Prepare NESCOM Grads For Lasting Success
Published on: February 12, 2024
A story:
Legendary film director / TikTok sensation Martin Scorsese was in a New York City studio, working on a new project. The manager of the studio asked a group of recent college grads and interns working there to run to the hardware store to pick up some black paint to finish some needed repairs. Most of the grads balked, saying that they came to work in the studio to be engineers, not to run errands. One recent grad, though, volunteered for the job, taking $20 from the manager and running to the store. Scorsese saw this play out, and was impressed with the grad who was willing to pull up his sleeves and do what it took to get the job done. The director ended up hiring that grad to work on the crew of two different films.
That grad who impressed Scorsese - he was from Husson's New England School of Communication.
