The College of Business at Husson University is a Registered Program with the CFP Board and offers an opportunity for professionals to take additional courses to become eligible to sit for the CFP® certification exam.

Enrolling is easy. Complete the non-degree application -- it’s as simple as that! If you are a Husson alumnus, be sure to indicate that you have previously completed Husson courses. As a Husson alumnus, we’ll waive the $40 application fee. To inquire about current tuition rates, please contact an Admissions Counselor.
*The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the demand for personal financial advisors is projected to grow 15% through 2026, much than the average for all occupations. The median wage for personal financial advisors was $90,530 in 2016.
Courses
We’ll provide you with a complimentary transcript evaluation to determine which courses you need to complete to be eligible to sit for the CFP® exam. Once you’ve completed the necessary courses, we approve your status of eligibility to sit for the CFP® exam. Below are specific courses that need to be passed to sit for the CFP exam. Depending on your transcript, you may also need to take one or more basic business courses.

BA 364 - Corporate Options and Structure

BA 466 - Investments II

CFP Board is a Washington, D.C.-based independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to benefit the public by granting, upholding and promoting the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) certification. Those who earn the certification are distinguishing themselves among their peers by meeting CFP Board’s education, examination, experience and ethics requirements. Students completing the financial planning program at Husson University will have met the educational requirement for the CFP® Certification Examination administered by CFP Board.
