An internship is your bridge to the business community. It provides valuable real-world experience and helps you network and develop contacts. The internship is a dress rehearsal for getting a job. You will learn how to develop and pitch your resume, how to properly conduct yourself in an interview, and how to act responsibly in the workplace. The internship will provide you with that missing link of work experience on your resume.
The Husson University Office of Career Services can assist you with:
- The process of registering for an internship.
- The process of applying for an internship.
- The process of finding a company for your internship.
- How and when to submit all paperwork to pass the course.
- How to write a resume, conduct yourself in an interview, and workplace expectations.
- Legal regulations, liability, responsibility, and confidentiality policies.
Meeting times are arranged through the Office of Career Services and generally occur before and during priority registration. You are allowed to attend one of the meetings well in advance of the semester in which you plan to intern. If you want to do an internship, click here to fill out the application. You may do so even before you have secured an internship.
