Biography
Before moving to Maine, Anne-Marie spent her childhood and young adulthood in Bucharest, Romania and Montreal, Canada.
She earned her Diploma of Engineer, Master of Science Degree from Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest, Faculty of Building Service Engineering and her Teaching Certificates for French K -12 and Secondary Mathematics 9 - 12 from the State of Maine Department of Education.
Anne-Marie spent almost ten years working as a mechanical engineer for on-the-job training of Bachelor of Science Engineering students in the electromechanical field and for projects involving industrial buildings and high capacity water and fuel tanks for Romania, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Germany and Kuwait.
For a few years she enjoyed being the editor of a weekly magazine addressed to the Romanian community in the United States and Canada.
Since her teens, Anne-Marie has been actively involved with the education of young people and adults (in Europe and North America) as a volunteer, tutor and classroom teacher working for the School Commission of Montreal, Bangor School Department, All Saints Catholic School, Eastern Maine Community College and finally Husson University where she presently teaches mathematics and statistics.
Anne-Marie’s philosophy of teaching is a working process that allows for a continued change and adaptation to the students’ needs.
