Christopher Morin, MD, MBA, FACS, CPE: has had extensive clinical and administrative experience in healthcare. He did his undergraduate work at the College of Holy Cross and earned a degree in Biology. His medical education was at the Brown University School of Medicine, where he earned his MD degree. All his surgical education was at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital. He attained Board Certification in Surgery and Vascular Surgery.
After completing his residency in Surgery at Harvard, he returned to Brown University, where he served on the faculty for many years and practiced Vascular and Trauma Surgery. Obtaining an MBA at the University of Rhode Island while teaching at Brown and practicing clinical surgery, he learned to speak the language of business, finance, and medicine. He became a Certified Physician Executive (CPE).
He served as the Network Chief of Surgery for a six-hospital network based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He was responsible for the development and functioning of all Surgical Services Lines. During this time, he was on the clinical faculty of the University of Pennsylvania and was a Professor of Clinical Medicine at DeSales University. As Chairman of the Pennsylvania Heart Institute Board, he coordinated the independent Cardiac Surgical and Cardiology Practices with the St. Luke’s Medical Center.
His westward migration continued with a time in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he developed and helped build an integrated Cardiac and Vascular Care Center. He finished in Denver, Colorado, where he was Chief of Surgery and Vascular Surgery at Major Academic Medical Centers and president of the Denver Vascular Care Center. He clinically performed both vascular and trauma surgery and became an international expert in the treatment of massive arterial venous malformations.
Over his career, he has been known and lectured internationally In Russia, France, Norway, and Saudi Arabia, among others.
