Personal Statement

As a teacher, my primary goal is to provide students with the tools and experiences that will assist them in finding the employment or continued education that they seek. To do this, I create lessons that assist the learner in acquiring knowledge that can be used in practice during their career. This knowledge attainment cultivates the skills employers are seeking and allows them to understand the theories that come with being an effective leader.

I try to cultivate lessons and discussions in the classrooms so that all students, regardless of backgrounds, can “see themselves” in the material because they can then relate information to how it can be used in their life and the life they want to lead. I also strive to have students leave my classroom with a better knowledge of themselves and where they want to fit into the world. After all, they are future business leaders, and I want them to be a leader others want to follow.
