Biography

Tharun's background and experience reflect a rich and diverse journey in the technology and immersive technology field. With a Diploma in Computer Technology, Advanced Diploma in Multimedia, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications, and a Master of Business Administration from several Training & Educational Colleges  Over the course of more than two decades in the technology industry, Tharun has honed his expertise in Extended Reality (XR), the Metaverse, and iOS and Android Application Development. His professional roles have been equally diverse, ranging from Senior IT Manager to Head of Immersive Technologies, XR Developer, and Program Manager/Creative Technology Director.  Tharun's project portfolio in extended reality is impressive, covering a wide spectrum of applications, from virtual frog dissections and jet engines to museum experiences and interactive children's books to Space Exploration Projects. His work demonstrates a deep commitment to leveraging technology for educational and creative purposes.

Now, Tharun has embarked on a new chapter in his career by relocating to Bangor, along with his wife and 6-year-old son. At Husson University, he is contributing his wealth of knowledge and experience as a faculty member within the School of Technology and Innovation. Additionally, he serves as the lead technical developer for iEX Center XR projects, further expanding his impact in the field of immersive technology. Tharun's unique combination of academic qualifications and extensive professional experience makes him a valuable asset to the university community, and his dedication to innovative technology solutions aligns perfectly with Husson's commitment to fostering technological advancements and education.
