Signing Ceremony between Husson University and Southern Maine Community College

BANGOR, MAINE - Husson University and Southern Maine Community College (SMCC), the largest community college in Maine, entered into a series of agreements today that will create a smooth process for the transfer of credits from SMCC to Husson. The signing ceremony, representing the culmination of the agreement process, took place at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019, in Fuller Board Room on the second floor of the Beardsley Meeting House on Husson University’s Bangor campus.

“Our University is dedicated to offering students a high-quality, affordable college education,” said John Champoli, vice president for enrollment management at Husson. “That’s why Husson University is the least expensive private four-year college in New England, according to a recent analysis by U.S. News & World Report.”

"These agreements allow students who are interested in continuing their education after earning a degree at SMCC to enjoy a seamless transfer and save time and money," said SMCC President Joe Cassidy. "This is another example of how we're working in partnership with other institutions to help students meet their educational and professional goals. We are putting students first to assure they have all the opportunities and support they need to succeed.”
