Eagle Fest and Spring Week Carnival Give Husson Students a Chance to Unwind Before Final Exams

On Saturday, April 22, 2023, Husson University’s Bangor campus will be celebrating the end of the semester with a series of fun-filled activities.
The day kicks off with Eagle Fest from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. (noon). Organized by students from the College of Business’s Sports Management program in conjunction with Husson Student Life, this annual tradition is comprised of multiple rounds of competitive events. Eagle Fest is a graded project for the student organizers.
The event begins in the Furman Student Center. Participating students will be able to use the Nintendo Switch game consoles, shoot pool and play ping pong. Students can also play board games and enjoy rousing rounds of corn hole and “Capture the Flag.” Individual students and teams are encouraged to pre-register, even though same-day sign-up is allowed.
Later that day, from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., there will be an on-campus Carnival in the grassy area between the Beardsley Meeting House and the tennis courts. Fun carnival-themed food like cotton candy, snow cones and ice cream will be available. Activities include inflatables, a mechanical bull, a dunk tank, a kahuna slide, laser tag, T-shirt spin art and more.
At the same time the Carnival is taking place, Husson will be celebrating Earth Day events. From 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. there will be a Club fair in the Darling Atrium in the Beardsley Meeting House. (Also known as the lobby of the Gracie Theatre). In addition, the campus has made some drop-off receptacles available for e-waste. Located outdoors near the Willey's Café entrance to Peabody Hall, the receptacles will be on site until April 24.
All of these events are free and open to all members of the Husson campus community.
