Gracie Theatre to Host Celebration of Boy Bands

Published on: February 12, 2025

It will be The Backstreet Boys meets Broadway when The Boy Band Project delivers the energy, moves, and sound of favored boy bands from the 1990's and 2000’s on the Gracie Theatre stage this week.

Created by Broadway star Travis Nesbitt and three bandmates, The Boy Band Project show will take place at the Gracie Theatre at Husson University on Friday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. It’s sponsored by Eaton Peabody.

“This is the perfect show for Valentine’s day, “ said Jeri Misler, managing artistic director of the Gracie Theatre. “Couples, or friends of any age will love this flirty quartet who bring extreme talent and a set list that takes you back to songs you know and love.”

Winner of the 2019 Broadway World Award for Best Group, The Boy Band Project is an electric, boy band cover group that re-imagines hits from NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Hanson, One Direction, 98 Degrees, O-town, Boyz II Men, Jonas Brothers and more. This musical thrill-fest features artists direct from Broadway’s Wicked, Hairspray, Mamma Mia, The Book of Mormon, Altar Boyz and Rock of Ages.

In addition to choreography and four-part harmonies, the artists have adopted iconic boy band roles, which add to their charm. Chris Messina (the sporty one), Sam Harvey (the not-that-bad boy), Christopher Brasfield (the boy next door) and Nic Metcalf (the sensitive one) deliver tough-in-cheek humor alongside musical repertoires of ’NSync, Boyz II Men and other crush-inducing boy bands of the 1990s and 2000s.

Tickets for The Boy Band Project are available online at www.gracietheatre.com or by phone at 207-941-7888. Prices range from $35-$42.50.
