Husson University will launch two new Bachelor of Science degrees in Fall 2025, expanding the opportunities available to students in Maine and nationally.
The BS in Wildlife Biology and Conservation program will launch as both an online degree and an on-campus degree, while the Bachelor of Science in Professional Health Sciences program will join the university’s popular online degree programs.
“At Husson, we’re keeping our finger on the pulse of growing national needs and demonstrated market interest to ensure that our degree offerings are reflective of what students want right now,” said Husson University President Lynne Coy-Ogan. “I’m excited for the launch of these new degree programs and confident in the future of our university.”
Through the Wildlife Biology degree, students will gain knowledge to manage and conserve wildlife and their habitats. This degree will prepare them for positions as Wildlife Biologists who provide care and conservation of wild animals and habitats, as well as to ensure the safety of human communities through education and intervention.
The fully online BS in Professional Health Sciences degree will offer a flexible curriculum featuring the latest practices and insights in professional health fields to prepare students for successful admission into professional graduate-level programs in health fields including Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy.
Additionally, two online programs will be delivered on-campus as well. The Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition & Health and Certificate in Animal-Assisted Therapy will be available as on-campus programs beginning in Fall 2025. Both have been very popular among Husson’s online students.
“The flexibility inherent of online programs attracts adult learners from around the country. We’re proud of the growth Husson’s online offerings have experienced in the last several years and excited for the future,” said Assistant Provost Amy Arnett. “I’m excited that some of our most successful degree programs will now be available through the College of Science and Humanities as well. It shows that Husson’s online division is showing key growth and making strong choices about program decisions.”
