Scholarships
Army ROTC Scholarships are availible for high school and college students to compete for based on merit. ROTC is looking to recruit scholars, athletes, and leaders. Students who are interested in competing for a three or four year scholarship are encouraged to contact us directly or visit GoArmy.com by clicking the link at the bottom of this page and applying online. National and campus based scholarships are available.
Tips and Techniques and a High School Timeline
Below is a list of requirements for various scholarships:
Four Year Scholarship
The high school Four-Year Scholarship is for high school students planning on attending a four-year college program.
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be between the ages of 17 and 26
- Have a high school CGPA of at least 2.50
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Husson University is test optional for the 2021 application cycle and will not require the submission of SAT or ACT scores to apply for admission.
- Meet physical standards
- Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard)
The most competitive candidates for an Army ROTC Four-Year Scholarship will have at least a SAT score of 1100 or an ACT score of 24.
Three Year Scholarship
The three-year scholarship is available for students already enrolled in a college or university with three academic years remaining.
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be between ages 17 and 27
- Have a College GPA of at least 2.5
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Score minimum 920 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT
- Meet physical standards
- Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard)
Two Year Scholarship
The two-year scholarship is available for those who have two academic years of college remaining.
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be between ages 17 and 27
- Have a College GPA of atleast 2.5
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Meet physical standards
- Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard)
LIVING EXPENSES
Army ROTC scholarships also provide monthly living allowances for each school year. You can earn certain amounts depending on your level in the Army ROTC curriculum:
- 1st year, $300 per month
- 2nd year, $350 per month
- 3rd year, $450 per month
- 4th year, $500 per month
This allowance is also available to all non-scholarship Cadets enrolled in the Army ROTC Advanced Course (3rd and 4th years), once they sign a contract with ROTC.
