Hello! My name is Abby O'Clair-Thompson and I am the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions. I am from a small town in Aroostook County called Easton. I graduated from University of Maine at Orono with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2019 and then from Husson University with my Master of Science degree in Human Relations in 2022. I also just recently completed my Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Organizational Management with a graduate certificate in Human Resource Management from Husson. I joined the admissions team in November 2021 and I primarily recruit for the Central Maine area. When I have free time, I enjoy reading, knitting, macrame, camping, and photography.

Hi! My name is Caleigh King (Paul) and I joined the Admissions team at Husson University in September of 2019. I am currently the Senior Assistant Director of Admissions and working primarily with Transfer students. I am a 2016 graduate of the University of Maine with a Bachelor's degree in Communication. When I'm not working at Husson or on the road recruiting, I enjoy being with friends and family, hiking, the outdoors and spending time with my amazing nephews.

Hello! My name is Chris and I graduated from the New England School of Communications (NESCom) with a bachelor’s degree in communications and sports journalism. After working in sports broadcasting, I returned to the university to work in the Office of Admissions. I'm responsible for recruiting students in Southern Maine. I live in Old Town with my wife and two children, the same town where I graduated from high school. In addition to following the Boston Red Sox, I am also a huge fan of New Zealand’s national rugby team.

Hi! I'm Don Grover and I joined the Admissions team in May of 2024 as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions. I work with students in the following counties of Maine: Aroostook, Hancock, Piscataquis, Somerset, and Washington. A graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor's in business administration and marketing, I have worked on the road in various industries. I bring a relatable perspective to college admissions being a father of four with two children in college. I look forward to connecting with you to share the Husson story and to learn more about you.

Hi, my name is David Namwira. I joined the Admission's team in February of 2025 as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission. I am from Bath, Maine but I'm originally from The D.R.Congo in central Africa, where I studied Computer Science before moving to America. I recently graduated from New England School of Communication (NESCom) at Husson University with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic and Visual Design and a certificate in Audio Engineering. I primarily recruit for Central and Southern Massachusetts. In my free time, I enjoy creativity, videography, photography, music, and design. Fun fact, I speak four languages.

Hi! I am the Associate Director of Remote Recruitment. I joined Husson in September 2017 and bring a vast amount of recruiting experience in higher education to the University. This includes two years as a graduate admissions representative for a University in Tennessee. I graduated from Herkimer County Community College before transferring to Mansfield University of Pennsylvania where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in 2005. I also went on to earn my Master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania in 2010. I realize how hard it can be to navigate through the transfer admissions process and I am here to help make this process as smooth as possible. Fun fact about me: I was the head track and field coach at a University for eight years.

Hey hey! I'm Nicole Acevedo, Regional Recruiter for New Hampshire, Vermont, and Pennsylvania. One of my favorite parts about working with my students is learning more about their dreams for the future and finding out how I can help make them happen. As a first-generation student who went to school far from home (I'm originally from Northern California and attended Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts!) I know all about the anxieties that come with making a decision about college and being away from family for the first time. After receiving my Bachelor's in Creative Writing from WNE in 2022, I spent my first post-grad year working in marketing at a nonprofit organization before going on to pursue my MFA at Salve Regina University where I'll be graduating from in June 2025. When I'm not helping students, I'm either watching YouTube and listening to music or working on my debut novel. I'm always happy to chat about what makes Husson a great place and why it might be the right fit for you, so don't be afraid to reach out!

The territory I am responsible for is Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Western Massachusetts (Berkshire, Franklin, & Hampden Counties). When I am not working, I enjoy hiking, yoga and trying out new recipes!
