Based on recent estimates, registered nurses in the state of Maine typically earn between $50,000 - $80,000 a year, depending on experience. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job prospects for nurses are expected to grow by about 6 percent over the next decade, with hundreds of thousands of openings and job opportunities available across the state and country.

THE CURRICULUM

Our curriculum provides a strong foundation of knowledge and skill in nursing and healthcare. In addition, you'll take a range of general education courses that will broaden your perspective and build strength in key areas like critical thinking and communication. These courses will provide a strong basis for both a nursing career and a baseline for further study and pursuit of an MSN degree.

Clinical experience in nursing is integrated throughout the program. The required Senior Practicum is a preceptorship experience at an assigned healthcare setting, which means you’ll be working one-on-one with an experienced nurse who will help you progress into a strong practicing professional.
