Funding for Interprofessional Education
Husson University Graduate Nursing Program is fortunate to have received a HRSA Advanced Nursing Education Grant focused on Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice.
The Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (ICP) model will provide focused educational activities to graduate nursing students, adding students from the Pharmacy doctoral program, the Physical Therapy doctoral program, the Occupational Therapy masters program, the Counseling masters program and undergraduate nursing. More than 100 students will receive training annually and move out into the healthcare workforce prepared to collaborate across professions, achieving improvements in safety and health outcomes for patients across the country. The methods learned will produce new leaders in both advanced and basic nursing practice skilled in Interprofessional team building, collaborative problem solving and care coordination.
